This will automatically refill your account with Services. You can stop auto pay at any time. If you plan on enrolling, wait until your NEXT CARD IS DUE to enroll. DO NOT enroll as soon as you activate or buy a new card, doing so will result in another charge even if you have just added the card. Roaming Concerns
I have read that Roaming is a concern. If my home area is Dallas and I travel to Boston will ST service cover me or will it only work in my home area?
I called st and they said if
I called st and they said if I live in Ohio and go to arizona, my phone might not work in arizona.
Roaming
To say that it will not work in AZ is NOT correct. The phone will only roam into verizon calling areas. Looking at the AZ coverage, it looks pretty good. I would say the phone would work in over 75% AZ. All of the large metropolitan areas are covered. Take a look at the Verzion Coverage Area if you have any doubts.
Straight Talk Roaming
Hi,
Roaming will not be a problem as long as you stay in the Verizon network. If you go outside, the network roaming will be an issue. Once the Alltel network comes under Verizon, the roaming area should increase dramatically. Also, Straight Talk may expand service into other networks but it is too soon to tell. So for now, as long as you remain in the Verizon network, you should be ok roaming wise. Here is the Verizon network coverage if you are not sure what all it covers. Verizon Coverage Map
International Calling Cards
Hi All, Thankfully my Verizon contract expires on 9/21/09. I know I cannot send or receive international calls but can I purchase a separate internationl calling card to make these calls? This is the only thing standing in the way of signing up. Thank you.
Cape Maimie
International Calling
Yes, an international card will work just fine since you will just call the 1 800 number on the card. I don't recommend this on other Prepaid services since the 1 800 call is billed but since Straight Talk is Unlimited, there is no cost to call the 800 number. As for receiving international calls, the phone should work fine for that.
phone information
I did change over to straight talk, great price and happy with the service but the problem I have is you have to buy another phone and I purchased the 29.95one I spoke to a person that works with straighttalk at walmart which was the same person that gave me all the information about the great deal, well that night I was trying to receive a text , the phone I purchased you can send text but you can not receive them the person from the company did not tell me that he told that pxtext was inclued with the 1000 mins
texting
Hi there. Sorry to hear about your troubles but the plan does include inbound/outbound texting. I would suggest you call customer service as there could be something wrong with your activation. Remember that your Straight Talk service is essentially Verizon post paid service.
Exactly What I need
Thanks for this info. This is the exact plan that I need. Will save me a bundle in the long run.
current trac phone user wanting 2 switch 2 unlimited straightalk
My ex-husband bought my daughter a tracfone with the double minutes for a year card, (which cost $100.00,for only 1 year double bonus refill minutes, not unlimited double like the new promotions I see), but what I was wondering if the tracfone phone she has currently can be transfered to the straight talk unlimited without changing the current phone number or buying a new phone? Since I read that tracfone is the carrier for this new unlimited service called straight talk. If someone could reply to my e-mail address I would be greatful, because I tried to e-mail tracfone through their website & had trouble doing so.
