The Samsung T301 is one of Tracfone's newest phone. Unlike their existing models, this phone is a slider type phone where the keypad slides out. The phone features a large 2" color screen that is bright and easy to read with a sliding keypad that has great tactile response. Even though the screen is quite large, the sliding keyboard allows the phone to still be very compact. Another notable item on the Samsung T301 is that it improves on Tracfone's new data offerings by giving you the ability to download MP3 ringtones and Java games which are unavailable on any other Tracfone. The phone also features a 1.3 mega pixel camera with an excellent zoom feature. As far as functionality goes, the signal strength and voice quality are both excellent and do not disappoint. Overall, this is an excellent and durable handset that is built to last. I really couldn't find or point out anything I didn't like about it (Built in MP3 player and/or video recording capabilities would have been nice like the Samsung SCH-r610 which is a souped up version of this phone. ). This phone is easily one of the best Tracfones to date and adds yet another style to the Tracfone lineup for those who do not want the typical candy bar or flip style phones. Tracfone did a good job keeping the price point rather low for a phone of this quality and since it includes the Double Minutes for Life, it is an Excellent deal. How to activate speaker
I have just received this phone and can't find anywhere how to activate the speaker on this phone. It is probably so simple I missed it. Help please!
Samsung T301
I have been a TRACFONE user in excess of 10 years BUT this phone (SamsungT301), intended to be an uprade, is very disappointing thus far.
When I power on the screen lights up only briefly with the TRACFONE logo and remindere about adding airtime. Screen is lit for no more than a couple seconds.
I should note SAMSUNG appears on the screen and then it goes to the TRACFONE logo.
With my other TRACFONES (there have been three) the charging process was simple and quiet PLUS when it was complete a note appear on the screen denoting that.
With this one I get the constant beep and flashing across the screen. After many hours (8) the device did not show Charge Complete just more beeps.
Now I recognize I could be screwing up somewhere along the line with this phone but it should be simpler to use than what I am experiencing.
Any others with similar issues?
great phone
i love this phone there is a lot of great qualities about it it is easy to use and is a great looking phone i have never had a tracfone i liked more that this one. i highly reconmend it to anyone who is looking for an easy to use slider it is also very durable i have droped it on several ocasions and have yet to have any problem with it so once again a great phone!!!!!
I am using this mobile phone
I am using this mobile phone for few years now and I am very happy about that. Despite the fact that all my friends are laughing at me and agitating to purchase a new cell phone for me - I will stay with Samsung T301. Why I need those new phones? I don't need those cameras and so on. Thanks for the nice review, it is always a pleasure to read about your phone. I will be definitely waiting for other nice posts from you in the nearest future.
Great Phone
The T301 is a great phone. One of the best Tracfone has ever offered. I highly recommend it!
tracfone
I have the samsung phone also, was sent to me as a replacement phone from Tracfone. Everything works great on it, but the only problem I am having is being able to download ringtones from the phone and website. I have called Tracfone constantly, and keep getting told to wait 24-48 hours, this was 3 weeks ago. This is the only problem I am having and its really aggravating me. Does anyone else know what I should do to fix it?
